kate_taylor Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I'm still trying to get the store installed completely (stuck on password protect admin folder, see other post) but I'm wondering why all of the images are either broken or only showing up partially. Someone mentioned earlier that all files needed to be uploaded in binary mode but I had read to upload php files in ASCII mode. Being that I don't know the difference between these two modes, I selected ASCII and uploaded the entire catalog folder that way. Could that be the problem? Should I go back and try to upload the files again selecting the Auto method? I'm using FileZilla to FTP the files to my site. Thanks!
spax Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Auto mode should be ok. Sometimes the Binary switch is labeled like 10101, I've not used FileZilla but it could be on that. You should have an option to secure directories from your host control panel. If you can't see it, just ask your host to do it.
maisonmills Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Hi, I'm using FileZilla and I found that if I used Auto I had problems with the files. Now I use Binary mode for all the sites files and have no problems. Cheers Steve
