The default cc module can really only be used if you already have a merchant account and cc termanil and want to run the cc's manually. If you do not then you will need to get a merchant account in order to accept the cc's The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
jasonabc Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 The stock OSC "Credit Card" module is a little misleading. All it does is capture the numbers entered on the payment page. It stores the first and last digits in the database and emails the middle digits to you. You then run the full number through a physical (or virtual) terminal. To actually *process* cards on your site then use one of the stock modules (A.net, SecPay etc). You will need an account with these companies in order to use the OSC modules. For A.net - they require an online merchant bank account. Once you have shown you have this, they will set you up with an account. From here you can use your login ID to generate a Transaction Key (which you simply insert into the A.net OSC module). When you move both your store AND A.net from test to production, your site will accept - and process - credit cards. Funds should appear in your bank account 2-3 biz days later.
