Most card systems now also require the Issue number, Start date and the extra security number. What is the simplest way to add these three features (I could not find a contribution that would)? Gil_e_n Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Assuming you don't really know how to code, I would think that the best method would be to grab the cvv number contribution (I use this one, personally). Then, as you're installing it, take note of what changes that the contribution is having you make. Install the contribution first, and make sure it works. Then, go back, and reinstall it a twice more, modifying the code so that it enters different fields into the database. You'll probably have to do some interesting coding with the date, since I'm not sure how that's coded, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I've used much the same method to add fields I needed before, and it works. Always BACK UP your files and your database before making any changes. WobblyWebber Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 Gil_e_n, many thanks for replying. I have downloaded and had a look at the contribution you suggested. I have gone over the instructions many times, most of which have taken me ages to understand, some of it about changes to the data base is still a mystery. If I was to take this path I would need to learn much more about coding and databases. Much resources have been spent configuring, securing and stocking the shop, but now we know what details the card machine will need to work, the shop is unusable. Given that many point of sale systems are insisting on this information, I still find it strange that there is no module that provides this or at least a contribution that would provide it in one hit. I have searched for something like that but to no avail. If anyone knows of a more complete solution for me and many others please let us know. Thanks in hope.
