If anyone can help with this it would be greatly apprecited. As I have no idea where to look.

on my store, All Systems Go Computers Ltd On the left hand side

you will see the list of Products.

If you click on Hard Drives you will see this in the address bar - it probably will chage when you click on the site.

http://www.all-systemsgo.co.uk/catalog/ind...359decab33c92ec

what I would like to do is create Friendly links so if you went to www.all-systemsgo.co.uk and clinked on hard drives you would see

www.all-systemsgo.co.uk/hard-drives

I hope I have tried to make it as clear as possible. I will need pointing in the right direction to what .php taxt would need to be altered.

thank you in advance

Dave,

Ultimate seo URLS will achieve what you want. Since you are hosted on an IIS server, you will be limited to Ultimate SEO URLs v2.0b (the one dated 7 Feb 2005). That is the last version that rewrites the urls in a way that works on Windows/IIS.

That version works fine though :D I think you'd be happy with it.

Two other things...to get it the way you want it. The first one really needs to be your top priority...

...all of your urls have the oscid appended ?oscid=dkd9d9d000d etc etc. With cookies enabled in my browser, I shouldn't be seeing those on your urls after a couple of clicks. Chances are your cookie settings/paths are not correct. I have not had much success helping people w/those cookie issues. :x so I'll encourage someone else to step in. You might want to take a close look at your configure.php files to remedy that.

...then if you want your store to look like it's at the root (yourstore.com not yourstore.com/catalog/ ) then the best thing to do is just move it all out of that catalog folder into the root. You can use a redirect but moving it is so much better. It's as easy as moving everything up one level and then editing your two configure.php files to remove the references to /catalog/ in your paths.

Forgot to give you the link to the seo url contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...search,ultimate

Hope it helps.
