Parse Error

Can someone help? I tried to remove the "What's New Box" using the "Documentation" info, followed the instructions exactly.... and now, I have a "Parse error" I even tried removing it all and replacing it with what I copied (the original text) and I can't seem to fix it. Thanks. I do not even understand what a Parse error means. It would be helpful if someone could explain this. Thanks.

In order for php to know what to do with a file, it has to read it in and break it into parts it understands. This is parsing. If an error is encountered that it cannot understand, it gives a parse error. So when you removed the code, you probably removed some control code that php needs. Since it cannot find it, it is giving the error. If you post the column_left or column_right file that you changed, it will be easier to see what the problem is.

OK, I'm confused. The What's New box is added as an infobox in the left or right column. I'm not sure what file you posted but it is a partial one and there is no way for me to tell what part you changed. Please clarify what it was you changed.
