Guest Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Hi all, I wonder if there is a quick solution to this problem. I have a number of customers who have ordered and even paid for products from my online store. These orders do not show up anywhere under Order administration and no email is sent notifying me of the order. However, the orders can be seen in the database so it would appear that they are incomplete. I can go through the various tables and piece the order together so as to send the customer their product but is there a way to correct the problem. I also think that the problem is caused by ordering items which show a negative quantity. Thanks in advance
Silverado05 Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 You can try this http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...search,Sold+out It will hide the add to cart button if the item is sold out. Or you adjust the setting in the Admin that hides the product if qty reaches 0. It's best to be able to display the item so visitors know what you carry. That's why the above is good because it shows the product just hides the button if sold out. Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post. Guest Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 The major problem is the stuck orders not the quantities. Any ideas ?
ozcsys Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 What payment module are you using?? The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
Guest Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 What payment module are you using?? I have PayPal and Direct Bank Deposit. I know that some of the payments without orders are PayPal. I will have to go over the details of the stuck orders to see if they are ALL PayPal. Cheers
Silverado05 Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I also think that the problem is caused by ordering items which show a negative quantity. I was just offering you a suggestion for this with the link to the contribution as it would help with that problem. Search the forum and contributions before posting. Sharon_U Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Hi all, I had a similar thing happen to me today, 7/8. I have a new customer who ordered and paid with paypal for products from my online store. This order does not show up anywhere under Order administration and no email was sent notifying me of the order. Neither do I know how to view the order in the database --if it is even resides there. Thanks in advance for any advice on how to pull this order out from somewhere!! Help. Last resort would be call the customer and ask if they were sent an email of Order notification. Sharon ps. I have 40+ small products so the order can be any number of small items for making jewelry and not one lump sum that I figure out by the $.
Guest Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 you could either use one of the paypal IPN modules or one of the pre-logging contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1153
