Guest Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I have this very unusual and so far impossible to track problem because it seems random. When attempting to check out of the store, this is happening Shipping Address Please choose from your address book where you would like the items to be delivered to. Click Continue and for no apparent reason, No erros, no trace of errors in any logs or anything to indicate anything is wrong at all, this fricken thing just keeps recycling this same page every time. It will not go past the Shipping information stage. Apparently this has been an issue with probably every new customer and only a couple have ever mentioned this problem. This is what seems so random about it. I can sign in and run through the whole process like there's nothing wrong to a final sale. A customer creates a new account and shops the store, selects a couple items and then goes to checkout and this snag happens. I went in while i had the customer on the phone and i did a complete transaction and completed the whole procedure with my own account. And then suddenly out of nowhere I make another live test transaction and now this problem has reocurred and i cannot get it to go away yet my client site owner has managed to to a complete transaction without error or snags and I cannot and neither can new customers. I have tried from my server, on remote desktop on other computers and with my account this problem ocurrs. So I am convinged it's account related issue and with newly created accounts what ever is causing this must be either in the account creation or some other bug going undetected. So feel free to create a test account using TEST infront of your username ie: TESTYourUsername and see if this happens to you too and maybe we can try to debug this thing. Please use test so we know what are real and not real purchaces. The site is http://www.mrinkbee.com/shop/index.php I have three other major issues that are somewhat unexplainable like the taxes are very unusualy not calculating correctly. Makes no sense at all how it magically creates these way off numbers and yet the total is correct. (When the checkout procedure decides to work) Another is when a transaction is successful, most of the times the email is not sent to the site owner. What blows my brain is the fact that for all these inconsistencies there are never errors generated anywhere that I can find. Your help will be greatly appreciated! I will be monitoring this looking for input. I have to go away for for a few hours today but please post any thoughts or anything you may find on this issue and i will catch up when i return. kgt Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 It would be easier if you supplied the email and password for an existing temporary test account. What contributions do you have installed? It looks like you have a template purchased from something like template monster. If so, keep in mind that those often drastically change the code. Guest Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 I am using a template from template monster, I have put in the Canadian Taxes contribution and the PSIGate XML for credit cards. This is the thing.. Today we did 3 tests and all passed! This is not making sense. It's as if someone is taunting us deliberatley! lol anyway... We gotta figure if this is some code problem with the template or is this our server playing little tricks. :-" Quote
kgt Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 I tested on Thursday or Friday, and something came up so I didn't get the chance to post. When I tested, I did run into the problem - I was unable to get past the checkout_shipping.php screen. Have you any more information about the problem before I look again?
