Border around thumbnail image on product listing

hi,

 

i'm hoping someone can help, its been annoying me for a while now :(

 

How would i go about having a border around each of the thumbnails displayed on the product listings pages?

I have seem many answers on this forum to a similar question to this, but all of which dont just work on the product image.

 

Just a suggestion but have you thought of adding the border to the image it self using a paint or draw application then downloading the image to osc. Every time that image is called it will have a border around it.
