Guest Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Hi I need help with the installation.Have set up IIS with xp installed php and mysql server. IE view php files fine.Extracted catalog under wwwroot change the permitions of config.php. but the installation goes to the welcome screen then you select a new online store it goes to the new installation with options imp.. cat.. and automatic conf I cant continue after this page if I press continue it jump back to the same page. Any suggestions?

I think you're trying to say that you can't get to your catalog, you're just getting redirected to the installation page?? Rename or delete the "install" folder and it will fix that. EDIT ...I think I misunderstood...don't delete the install folder if you're not done installing. I think that looping behavior might be caused by register_long_arrays ...check your setting in php.ini ... register_long_arrays = On is what you need.

I went further with the installation, everything went fine until I get to the last screen were the installation was succesfull, where you can select: Catalog or administration tool Catalog direct me to http://localhost/catalog/install/://localh...talog/index.php that doesn't excist and administration tool to http://localhost/catalog/install/://localh...admin/index.php that also doesn't exict. he site is http://localhost/catalog any changes that I can make to view this files? Further I followed the installation proses renamed the install directory imm pickt up a nice error if I want to go to the site. It display - Unable to connect to database server! -.the url it tries to go to is http://localhost/catalog/ Maybe a sullotion for that?
