I can't seem to add a product

Hello. I installed CCC / custom computer creator, even though I'm not selling computers -- I'm selling something completely different. I want customers to be able to design their own mounts, based on the variables I give 'em.

I installed everything just the way it said, and I can see it ... it looks okay, no errors. But when I add a product, it doesn't have a drop down list of things to choose from, or any place I can put radios, or pull down menus, etc. I triple checked to make sure I uploaded all the admin files properly, and I did, but I'm at a loss. Basically I can't add a product in my admin, and I can't find any support (here or on google) that explains how to do it step by step.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Still no luck; I reinstalled every aspect of CCC, but within the admin, I cannot add new products -- just categories.

With ccc9.3 to add a product first you need to create a system type. Thats in the first page of ccc types in your admin. Once completed you ned to click on the yellow box to open it. You then ned to insert what they call and fsb type. Then you need to add a category again by clicking on the yellow folder.

Once you have the categories you need to add the individual items within that category. To do this you use the drop down box on the right of thepage. This drop down list will show all the categories and then items from within your store.

I hope that this makes sense. It took me a while to work it all out as there are no sensible instructions.

Thanks Steve. Yes, I have ccc v9.3, and I got to that point. I can get to the point where I see the products (various types of mounts) in the drop down list. But how do I add variables like, say, I want the end-user to be able to choose the numer of holes -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Or say I want to add a completely separate variable/attribute, like size of the holes, where the end user can tell me the size of the holes they want (or select from a drop down list)? This is where I'm totaly stuck, and I've been searching for days for this solution. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, though. Appreciate any further suggestions,

As far as i am aware you can only enter products that are listed within your store, less any added attributes, as all information is taken from the database.
