Problems with a fresh osCommerce installation

I've just started using osCommerce and hit a wall with a strange error... I would greatly appreciate any input.

 

After a successful installation of osCommerce 2.2-MS2 I wanted to play around a little bit with the sample items and see how it works. Well, as I was checking out its features I ran into a problem - I would receive the "The page cannot be found" error while trying to access the user account ("account.php") and proceeding to checkout ("checkout_shipping.php").

 

What's wrong? Should these two files have a specific set of permissions enabled? They're both 644, just as all other files in the server's root directory.
