designbyfox Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 My topic title says it all. Is SSL certificate required for all payment modules? If not, which module did you use? Thanks Heather Quote
Jack_mcs Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 No, it isn't but should be used anyway. The module you use depends upon oyur sales volume and how much you want to pay. New shops are usually better off using paypal. Guest Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 SSL is not needed for all module s- particularly the form type ones that redirect you to the payment processors website (which has SSL). SSL isn't really that expensive and to be honest it will more than pay for itself in customers you could lose for not having it. Many people won't even enter their name or address if a site doesn't have SSL never mind even reaching the payment pages!! Quote
designbyfox Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 I do have PayPal Pro installed, but I was told it would not work without a SSL certificate because when it goes to https://spun-autosports.com it gets a error. So I thought there would be another way around because I have been working on this store for over 4 months and have gotten no where with it. Quote
