Direct file download, how to do it ?

Hi

 

I?m new, know nothing or VERY little about OsCommerce...bla bla, you know the story.

 

All I need to know is this;

I want to add certain files to my online store that I?m busy setting up (www.saitd.com) that can be downloaded directly from within a sub-category that will be created on the left column.

That new sub-category is named "Rma Form" and I want the guest/user to click on that section and select "download Rma From Here", something like that. Then he?ll recieve a notification from his/her browser (which ever might be in use, I say Firefox (Y) ), and the download will start. No ftp no nothing, straight from the site with a few clicks.

Now I don?t want the user to have to log into his account or create one for this effect, plain and simple.

 

A simple straight forward answer/explanation would be a great help and please don?t forget that I?m very new to all this.

 

One last request, please visit the site and give me a honest opinion about what it looks like, even if it?s a no compliment one, I will appreciate it, (still lots to go to complete it).
