Brilliant, however when I go into our orders screen I dont have any order for the paypal amount. Ive got the paypal default and the paypal IPN system installed. Its odd that paypal has sent me money via the website but not other details are available on the website. Things still to do before going "live" in no real order... Change "buy now buttons" css styles Change "lets see what we have here" into something meaningfull Main logo of the website Sort out currency to make site UK only (at present) Remove "xx requests since" stuff Update mainpage :D Move shopping cart status into header Add in stock status to product listing page Define styles for product listing standardisation Change CSS background for Headings Increase Category size headings Used mods so far:- basic_design_pack1mk7 | Google XML sitemap w admin | Paypal IPN v 1.2 | Feedmachine | pricematch_1_3_1 | Dynamic Sitemap 1.6 | Whos online Enhancement | Easypopulate 2.72 Each one that I solve I;ll be putting a post on the forum in a "completed shop" thread that Im writing up

If you have paypal and paypal IPN installed, the Paypal option only works if you have it to "Preparing IPN" when payment has been made. Anyone else come across this? creativehand Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hi I had the same issue on a client site, payment came through, merchant (not paypal, this was PROTX). Weird thing is, the order number's are not missing one as you would expect from having an order come through, its as if the order was never placed, although payment was confirmed .... mikko123 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 that typically happens when a user doesn't click the "return to merchant" button at the end of the paypal payment process. OSC never finalizes the order because the customer never reaches the checkout_success page. They close their browser before returning to your site, so the payment is made but OSC never knows that an order was completed.

It is set to return automatically after processing if memory serves me....

prgalla Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 This same issue happened to a client of mine. Does anyone know how to solve this. This client is a little ticked off she had to e-mail the person that ordered from her to find out what to send. Ouch!
khoking Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I have tried PayPal IPN and it messed up my orders even worse. Every order has two order numbers, and customer that click BACK button will create ANOTHER order for it. This is crazy...and I dumped the IPN contribution within 24 hours :angry: This is my store (LIVE STORE...): http://shashinki.com/shop/ What I did now is to post a reminder / instructions on the paypal paying option, so that customer will remember to click BACK to Merchant after they completed their paypal payment. This is not the best solution, but for me it is at the moment until a new OSC comes out :) Best regards, Koh Kho King
