Guest Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I had previously setup credit cards to be accepted in my store. The client had payment options of either PayPal or Credit Cards. They were linked to the Paypal site for making payment then redirected back to my store to download their product. It worked wonderfuly...until Friday when Credit Card options were gone from my website. Now the only option customers have is paypal. It took HOURS and HOURS of searching to find out how to set it up in the first place. I cannot relocate the directions for setting this up. Does anyone know how to do this. My paypal side appears to be just fine. I had something installed on Friday to give me radio button options...Im not sure if this interferred or not. But I in no way messed with payment options at any time. Please HELP!!! :( thanks y
choosealogin Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Go to your admin panel... >>modules>>payment>>credit card Push the install button and then fill in your details.

Thanks but unfortunatly this doesnt work. It wants to take the credit card information directly on my site as opposed to going to the paypal site. Does anyone know how to do this? y

I'm sorry, from what you said I thought you had a Paypal module installed AND a 'credit card' module installed. In the case of Paypal, Go to your admin panel... >>modules>>payment>>Paypal Push the install button and then fill in your details. Without more info, I'm afraid I don't know the answer. In general, it is that easy...but there must be some detail that I'm missing out on. The options "disappeared".?? The only Paypal module that collects credit card details directly on your site is Website Payments Pro. Other than that, all of the Paypal modules allow you to take credit cards...on the Paypal site.
Astonished Man Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I know what he is talking about. I am having a similar problem. I had the store set up and working with paypal module for the only payment option. On the first order is when I found out about the problem with paypal not returning the order info unless you push the "return to merchant" button. I tried a couple of contributions to solve the problem and couldn't get them working. So I replaced all the files with my back-ups and decided to go with a notice to please push the "return to merchant" button ... I tried another order and when I got to the checkout_payment.php page (payment information section) of the process there was no payment option listed. So I tried remove and then re-installed several times. It never showed up. So I tried installing other payment modules just for a test. All of them will show up as options except "paypal" and "credit card" module options. They just won't show up on the payment page. I don't know what else to do. I am too far along to un-insall osc and re-install from scratch. Anyone run into this before and survive?
choosealogin Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Ok that makes sense...although I don't know why your modules are missing. Do you have any other modifications to checkout_payment, for any contributions, like gift voucher, etc?
Astonished Man Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 no other mods to that file. I am running sts, but it was working with that. It all started when I tried to install the paypal IPN Even though I un-installed that paypal module I noticed that all the config fields are present in the database. I'm wondering if there is a conflict with one of those and the paypal standard module. I'm going to manually delete those rows of data and reinstall paypal standard and see what happens.
Astonished Man Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Okay. Got it figured out. I had two problems. One ... When I installed paypal IPN some things changed in the database. Don't know why or what all contibuted, but when I removed that module and reinstalled the standard paypal module it was still creating the fields for the paypal IPN instead of standard. Strange, but that wasn't going to work, was it. And I don't know if it matters but the configuration_id for the MODULE_PAYMENT_INSTALLED was changed from 67 to 362. I checked with some other installations of osc to find this out. So I corrected all this and reinstalled the payment module. two ... after all that it still wouldn't show up. sigh! But a little more poking around and found out that my payment zone was messing it up. The only zone I have created is called "All Sales" and should apply to everything. But choosing this on the modules payment zone field kept it from showing up. Left it on none and it shows up. That last part would be what I would look at first, ybus.
