rommany Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Hello Well my site has seen some great search engine results and im only 10 places away from getting thousands of hits per day, at the moment im doubling my hit per month, but my sales rate is still low, i get around 450 unique vistors and 6000 pages viewed a day but from that im only getting 1-2 sales, the beginning of last week the site doubled it sales to 4, but the last 4 days i have had only 3 in total so it slowed right down. I removed google ads for a week and that did nothing to improve sales and i lost $40.00 in clicks so ive put them back again. Could i have pls have some advice on how to improve sales, i have spoken here before about getting a template, but my partner really likes the look of the site and as its hers anyway i cant change it. Many thanks
rommany Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 The bear for some reason removed my link, maybe because i used the word baby in the link, would be nice to let the person know when you have made a major edit, but i guess osC helpers are just rude. What gets me is that some people here have links in the footer and ive seen others allowed to do a lot worse but he would remove me before doing anything about that. again without the link and that big word Link to personal site is against forum rule thanks
rommany Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 Link to personal site is against forum rule? its a osCommerce site so how is that personal??????????????????
rommany Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 Can you pls explain yourself bear? every posting on this forum has a link to their osC store as my one was. Have you got a problem with me, if so PM

hubcat Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Rommany, I will avoid commenting on the attitude/helpfulness of the moderators. However, you can add a link to your site under the "homepage" section of your profile. Then anyone can click on your profile and find your site. It's within forum rules to do that. Adrienne
rommany Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 (The moderators are volunteers. You should have read and been aware of the forum rules. As i am aware i keep to the rules, so i do not see why i was not allowed to place a link to my homepage so others here could help me. If everyone else is allowed to ask for help with a link, why not me ??? and i can list over 100 links to other web sites in the general chat and marketing if anyone whats to see the truth. I starting to wonder if osCommerce is a thing of the past, even harald has not login for over a month. i will still use oscommerce as my store is up and running now, but as for recommending it to others, i think not, i have asked over 15 Questions without reply and have seen many other peoples questions go without help, ive also found this the hardest shopping cart to work with, and thats why the only people here willing to help are the ones that are making a good living from osC installing contributions for the newbies here, the rest of us that have learnt the hard way are the ones that get blanked when we ask a question( how strange) osCommerce R.I.P im sure this will be deleted or edited....
rommany Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 Sorry Adrienne, thank you for your advice, i know what you said is true, but most people like to clink on a link to go straight to the page you require help on, and i dont see why i should be any different from others here. ( even if im not paying for the help)
Guest Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 If you want your store to be reviewed by the community, there is a proper forum for that (My Store Forum) but make sure you read the forum guidelines before posting The_Bear
rommany Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 I was asking for advice on marketing not a site review, im sure i would have been PM'ed like i have a few time before by johnson for not using the right topic area. But ive send my bit, im not going to go back on old ground.
