Upgrade from 2.2 to 2.2 051113

I can't seem to find this information anywhere. Basically, I have the register_globals problem, and it keeps recurring. I'd like to upgrade to the latest version of OSC, but am a bit stuck. I've downloaded the files, but the only upgrade info on the knowledge base tells you how to change from version 1 to 2. How would I go about upgrading to the latest release on a current installation (with lots of data I dont' want to lose!).

 

I really need to get my site back up now as well, so any help would be great!

The latest upgrade does not make the site register globals off compatible. The security upgrades are here:

for the register globals patch, please search in the contribs section.

 

NB: not every contrib is register globals off compatible either, so if your site is heavily modified, you might need to do some manual tweaking. There's more info in the register globals patch contrib download.

Sorry if I'm being dim here..but if I follow those manual step-by-step instructions, am I, in effect, upgrading to the newer 20051113 version of OS Commerce? I have found the register globals patch, which I intend to use, but it recommends having the 20051113 version of OSC. :'(
