Having more pricing problems. I have downloaded the Auspost module. I offer my international customers three choices, Airmail, Economy Air and Seamail. I keep calculated the costs to ship something that weighs .017 kilos to the USA and it keeps coming up with incredibly high rates. Like $40.00 +.

I need help that is in "plain and easy" language to correct this. (Like you would explain to a child. LOL!)

I did get the DRC instructions. Do I need to put them into the files? If so, how do I go about doing it.

This is the last thing I need to do before my shop is up and running. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Are the weights in your shop in kg or g? They should be in kg. BTW 0.017 kg = 17 grams.

They are in kilos. My original post should have read ".17 kilos". Sorry. This is what I have in the product weight for my cd's. Still, it doesn't figure out the shipping correctly.

Working on the international airmail module:

Air mail parcel to USA costs $39.50 plus handling fee for 1.7kg based on weight or volume.

Insurance for this module is specified thus

100:7.50,200:9.50,300:11.50,400:13.50,500:15.50,600:17.50

Since you now only need to put the parcel dimensions into the module in mm (and the correct figures have been used), and the drc is working correctly, are you sure that you have specifed the weight to be 0.17 for the cd that you are testing shipping with?

What I am testing is one cd in the package to go to the US. I had the weight weighed at the post office, so that I could have the exact weight. One cd in a bubble lined bag weighs exactly 172 grams. Which I convert to kilos and put that as the product weight, .17 kilos.

I have not put in insurance at this time. Will do that later when I get the postage correct.

My store is showing the following prices for the .17 kilo purchase. All prices include a $3.00 handling fee to cover the purchase of the bag.

Air Mail = $20.05

Economy Air = $18.00

Sea Mail = $14.82

It should read:

Air Mail = $11.25

Economy Air = $10.50

Sea Mail = $9.00

In my shipping module I have put for the height, width and depth as 100mm x 100mm x 100mm. I read somewhere on the board that if one did not understand this part to put the default numbers of 100x100x100.

I'm not sure the DRC is working correctly. I received the email from Auspost with the PhP code but have not entered it in my databse as I am not too sure exactly where it goes and how to do it.

Many thanks for your help! I am very new to PhP.

Does this mean that you did not download the Australian Shipping module from the contributions area?

The drc was working correctly when I tested it last night.

I don't know what php code you received.

Based on the info supplied, your should be working accurately.

Have you specified a tare weight (the weight of the empty packaging) in kg in Admin Configuration Shipping/Packaging Package Tare weight.

I downloaded the Auspost v2.0.2 and follwed it excatly.

It is now showing the correct postage, but it is showing it minus the 10% GST. So, for example, it is showing an express post parcel at $6.18 instead of $6.80.

I had a look and it is calculating the GST for the postage and for the sales all at one time at the end in the order confirmation. YAY!! Really glad that it is working, but....

Is there a way for it to show the GST in the shipping method? So, that it shows $6.80 for the express post parcel instead of the $6.18 pre-GST price?

Ok, the international postage prices are coming up a tad bit short. It looks like the amount that would be the GST, or 10% of the postage price is not being added. For example, airmail postage on my page says it costs $12.27 when on the Auspost site it says it should cost $13.50. A difference of $1.23, exactly 10% or the amount for GST.

I do have the tax class set to none for air, express air and sea mail. I even tried to turn it on but still no luck.

I managed to finally get my domestic postage working, now I have this little problem.
