I am wondering why myimages in the catalog are not keeping the size that I set them to in my admin.

I have set the product images to 150; but, when I get the properties of an image in my catalog, they are at 225x225, but still set at 150 in the admin.

Someone said that it is because of the MoPics that I have installed; however there is no place in MoPics to set the size.

Any help?

The image files are not being resized, rather the image output is. The file can be huge and the webpage will output it at the smaller image dimensions you have set up in admin. However it is still using the full file size.

What you need to reduce filesize (and thus increase website speed and lessen server bandwidth load) is to install a resizer utility. I personally use OnTheFly_GDThumbs from the images contribution area.
