Option names missing, values not??

I know this isn't a support forum for other people's OSC hacked up stuff... but I don't think this is necessarily a problem related to my weird (CRE) OSC...

I think I am using CRELoaded version 6.15 or so. Here is the issue...

I have a LOT of product attributes of varying flavors. One in particular exists for the sizes of T-Shirts.

S, M, L, XL, etc.

Here's what I can't seem to figure out. If I go to the product attributes area and look at the option values table on the right, and I go to page 2, I see a bunch of option names with corresponding option values. However, some of the option names are MISSING.

More details:

The product option ID for Size is 4, and products_options shows it there with the right name.

The option value ID for M is 17, and products_options_values shows this as the second entry.

There is an entry in products_options_values_to_products_options with an ID of 66 -- it shows that products_options_id 4 is connected to products_options_values_id of 17.

If I go to edit a product, and scroll down to the active attributes area, I can see L, S, and XL, but M is not present. However, if I go to view a product page in the actual store/catalog, M is an available selection in the pull-down list for Size.

The product ID for this item is 95. If I look in products_attributes for all instances of products_id 95, I see 4 entries -- 18, 17 (M!!!!), 20, 19.

I can't figure out what the heck is happening. I suppose I could try to delete the "M" option value and then add it back in. I've tried to edit the option in the values list, but it stays with a blank option name.

The other weird thing is that if I browse through all of the Products Attributes entries, I can see products with Size M associated (the name Size is there), and they show up right in the store... but that damn M value doesn't have a name in the options values area...

Any clues? Suggestions?

What the heck is going on?!?!
