Mr.Sundy Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Hello there, Ths could be nothing but i thought id better ask just in case, whenever i create a backup i get this error: Warning: set_time_limit() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/fhlinux186/e/ectoys.co.uk/user/htdocs/catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 737 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/fhlinux186/e/ectoys.co.uk/user/htdocs/catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php:737) in /home/fhlinux186/e/ectoys.co.uk/user/htdocs/catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 22 this message appears on a blank screen and when i click back and return to the tools section it says my database was backed up successfully. Just wondering if this is a problem. Cheers
kgt Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 If your database gets large enough, you might not be able to back it up using the backup tool in OSCommerce. However, these errors mean only that the script tried to increase the timeout limit and it was not allowed to. If your database gets large enough, then the script can timeout before it's done backing up. An alternative is that many hosts will allow you to backup through their control panel.
