I cannot find the catalog/index.php file in my file manager. I am using the older version of Oscommerce. My website is darksidesnowboards.com Please help!
choosealogin Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 I think in your case that would be default.php ...hmmm EDIT what you do mean "older"....how old? I see on your site that you don't have the store installed in a subdirectory (such as 'catalog'). The file you're looking for is in your root, i.e. 'htdocs' or 'public_html', etc. It is index.php

I am looking at the code in the public.html/index.php I am having a hard time finding the filename new products language. Thanks Mike

FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?> It appears twice in index.php, once around line 121 and another time around line 313 Line 121 - is for the category pages. If you want to keep the 'whats new' on category pages, then leave that one alone. Line 313 - is for "whats new" on the front page of your store. So, whichever one (or both) that you want to deactivate, change the line to: <?php //include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?> The two slashes // will make it disappear. :)
