Grouping up or defining ID's to attributes in ADMIN - Products Attributes area

If each item has 5 different attribute options and you have 100 items, each item is displayed 5 times within the attributes area in admin. equalling 500 items.

Is there a way to group them up or something so there isnt such a mass amount of listings to go through should you need to change one?
