Broken Images In SSL

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I have a shared SSL with my hosting account but when on secure pages some of the images aren't loading. See here... https://server2.simplewebserver.co.uk/~punk.../home/login.php? I have read various threads about the problem of images not loading in SSL and have tried all the suggestions of ways to fix this problem. Through reading this forum I am sure there is a path that is either wrong or missing, probably in one of my configure.php files but I just can't figure this out. Can someone please take a look and advise.

Cheers,

Mark.

I had the same problem and did everyrhing with no luck, after some hours found the solution with help from my host ,here`s what i did.

:

-load the page on a browser

right click on a broken image and note where is that image located example : https://host716.ipowerweb.com/~flowers/images/100.gif

-now in an editor look for : /images/100.gif and delete the first "/" . It should look like this : images/100.gif

If doesn`t work keep tweaking, Most likelly rightclicking the broken image will tell you the problem.

Hello dj,

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you're saying but when you say to look for /images/banners/hlbanner.gif and delete the first forward slash where am I looking? Where can I edit this path? Sorry still fairly new to all this!

Cheers,

Mark.

Hello dj,

All images loading now! Thanks so much! It was like you said just the first "/" before images needed deleting in my configure.php file. Don't know about header.php and footer.php but anyway all seems ok now. Thanks again!

Cheers,

Mark.
