i can't change the default text on my store front

excuse the noob here.. but i can't find the file in my file manager that allows me to change the default text on the front page of the store. can anyone help, please? :'( -

go to your root or ithink its called catalog here,

then go to

 

includes/languages/english/index.php

then..

 

just edit the stuff after the define('TEXT_MAIN','

I would recommend staying away from the File Manager...it's buggy and making live edits is something that will bite you someday...probably sooner than later.

 

Use a good FTP program instead. I like Filezilla. It's free. Make lots of backups. :thumbsup:

 

To find the text, make sure you are in catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php

 

NOT just

 

catalog/index.php (that's a different index.php).

Just download the "filezilla" package...you don't need the filezilla "server" package.
