gripking Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 When a customer places an order, it sends me the total and everything to Paypal, but it doesn't list the parts from the shopping cart. I have to email the customer back to ask what parts they wanted to order. This definitely should not be like that. How can this be fixed?
♥Vger Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Go to your osCommerce admin panel --> Configuration --> My Store, and input a valid email address where it says 'Send Extra Order Emails To' and you'll then receive a copy of the order which the customer receives (with all the items listed). Vger
MSP Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Common problem, also do this : Friends,I had this problem as well, but only with PayPal. My understanding is that if the buyer does not click to be taken back to your site, your site does not get the confirmation that the order completed. Thus is does not show up in your admin or send the order confirmation email. There are older posts about this in the forum and I followed the advice given in one to ... - go to PayPal profile - go to Website Payment Preferences - Turn on AUTO RETURN and specify the URL you want the buyer to be redirected to once the payment is complete PayPal has some requirements about the return to URL so you will want to review them. Since making this change I have not had this problem again. Perhaps other payment processors offer a similar function that will help you to resolve this. Lotsa luck... Sue
