I'm sorry for that :blush: My problem: I added a new product description for the startpage and it works well, but now I want to be able to edit the whole stuff in the administration. I know a bit about php and mysql, but I didn't manage to put in the new field for the description, so that it would work... 'Till this is done, I must change the descriptions with phpmyadmin :( The file that I need to change is admin/categories.php, right? P.S.: I hope I found the right category to post this... choosealogin Posted June 25, 2006 Share Posted June 25, 2006 (edited) Yes, you will need to edit admin/categories.php I think the instructions for this contribution will help you: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ct+extra+fields It is 'product extra fields', and the instructions should take you step by step through the categories.php file, to help you add the code you need. I haven't used it myself, but it is a popular contribution. I think it's the easiest way to get what you need.
