starcad Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 There is a file included in this contribution .DS_Store. What is this file for and how does it relate to the contribution. Looks similar to a re-direct or some sort of back door to your site. It is coded and can't be read except for a few "@" here and there in the view. If uploaded it becomes invisible and very hard to delete unless you change the attributes to something that can see it as a hidden file. I'd like to be safe instead of sorry if something goes wrong with this file. Comments please. Thanks, just don't want to mess anything up with strange code. Quote

I had the same question, and found the answer here: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=156327 It seems these are Mac OS system files, unused and unneeded anyplace else. Quote
