Development Installation Problems

Hey all:

Be kind please, this is my first post and I have searched this installation area and read other posts before deciding to post this question.

I develop on a development installation and then push the completed working files to the production server. Up until recently everything has been going perfect but I decided to upgrade my development machine. I installed OSCommerce on the new development machine as I had previously done and moved all my files back from the production server. I then made what I thought were the necessary changes to the two configure.php files but now I can't look at the various catalog pages by category. It keeps loading the default opening page. I also can't get to account.php. It comes up blank. All other pages display correctly.

The database is installed correctly and the username and password are the same as they were on the previous development machine which displayed everything correctly.

Whereas the domain for the configure files on the production machine is in the format http://www.domain.com while the domain for the development machine is in the format http://machinename/catalog/. Both machines are linux installations. The new development machine is running MySQL 5 and PHP5.

To verify that I had done things the same I installed the database and site on a Windows XP system with the same settings in the configure.php files as on the development machine and I am getting the same results. I still can't get the catalog pages to display and the account.php page is still coming up blank.

I am relatively sure that I have forgotten to do something in the configure.php files but I can't find it. Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks in advance for your patience.
