lonestar
..Just was greeted with a warning strip across the top of my site home page, which essentially read :! Warning! :'( User Permissions Changed-This may be a Security Risk; with /home/adminman/public-html/cart/includes/configure.php Url... This also simultaneously occurred at my other (2) sites hosted by same Company... reset the permissions to eliminate this warning then noticed that links from categories to items in categories are missing. I reset back the permissions to the way they were and problem still exists. Shipping, conditions ,etc links all are working,(and the few scattered links on home page). Please see www.lonestarbags.com (lsbags.com) and see . Click on the categories and nothing shows!(although item qty clearly is there!) I've already had my host restart their server and nothing changed.. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated...I tried restoring database but that did not do naything except tell me I had an error in the process..Should I/Can I reload fresh OS Commerce over my current site?
Wendy James
If you turned on search engine safe urls in your admin, shut that off and see if it fixes the problem. Or if you installed anything that is suposed to change the pages url shut that off. Your host may not allow rewrites. Wish I could explain it better but that is all above my head. I just know some hosts allow it and some don't and when they don't it can cause errors like that. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
