Guest
So.. I just placed a fake order on my store using the fake visa test number. Got the order via email just fine.. but where it says payment Method in the email, it just says "Credit Card". Essentially, I want to be able to receive the credit card number in the email so I can process it via our own in store terminal.. I dont want online credit card processing. How do I go about doing this? Thanks, Chris
Daemonj
Not going to happen because email is not secure and anyone running a sniffer can obtain the contents of the email. You would also be liable for any damages incurred as a result of that. Major bad idea. "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence." - A. jasonabc
If you are using the credit card module - you can set this to store the full number in the database (not wise) or have OSC store the first and last digits in the database and have it email the middle ones. It is not an option to email the full credit card number as (as Daemonj already explained) this is extremely insecure. All other modules (Authorize.net, SecPay etc) process the credit card for you and just tell OSC if the transaction was approved so you don't a terminal if you are using these modules. jasonabc
I've never used the CC module, but I believe the numbers are stored in the Orders table. jasonabc
Go into the Orders section of the OSC Admin Tool. Open an order. The credit card info is displayed like this: Credit Card Type: Visa Credit Card Owner: Joe Bloggs Credit Card Number: 4943XXXXXXXX2672 Credit Card Expires: 0108 The email containing the middle digits will be in whatever mailbox you set the CC module to.
