create a css class for the categories box content (or modify the existing one), then specify the height and set the overflow property to auto.

Thanks for the reply but I still need a little help help.

I tried to add a css in the catagories.php file but didn't have any success.

I tried to edit this line:

$info_box_contents[] = array('text' => $categories_string);

Which I can add my own CSS where it has $categories_string how ever I don't know how to incorparte the $categories_string in the CSS so it can call the catagory list

After trying to fool with that for a couple of hours I tried the following:

Create a new box class in catalog/includes/classes/boxes.php

Then defined the class in the stylesheet.css

Then edited the catagories.php file

Which with this I am able to change the font, background color, width, font size etc.. but I can't change the height to add a scroll bar.

Any advice

TIA

can you try first implementing the css on its own? ie by setting up a table or div and test it.

so you define a class like this:

.test_class {
  position: absolute;
top: 10px;
left: 2px;
height: 200px;
width: 200px;
border:0px solid black;
z-index: 90;
overflow:auto;
}
