Blank Admin Screen

Recommended Posts

Hi,

All of a sudden my admin page is blank and I cannot access my admin page.

All of my other pages appear but I cannot make any changes now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dawn

Byondbeads,

Don't panic!...

Have you or anyone else made any changes to the Admin dir...

Check the security on your admin dir and files do have read access.

when you go to admin you will execute index.php make sure that is ok...

Do you have a backup of the admin side...check with your host to see

if they haven't done anything....

make sure the admin/include/configure.php is ok...

Since you can view the catalog...your database seems ok and can

access it...

If you didn't make a backup of your programs...and if you need to restore from backup your host should have a backup for you because

they do make backups...

I hope this helps...

Let us know.

Hi Dittones,

Thanks for your help. I have checked all of those files and they

all appear to be fine. Unfortunately, I don't have a backup of the Admin side unless it is contained in

the backups I made in the admin section ?

Thanks,

Dawn

byondbeads,

The approach is to do a process of elimination...

Try using a different browser...to see if produces any errors...Try downloading www.mozilla.org...This browser will allow you to view the

source/module that you are executing when you get a blank page...

You may have to reload your entire site form a backup...you host provider will have a backup...you will need to contact them and explain

to them what is happening...and decide what day you want to restore from which you would tell them...but before you do a restore...make a

good backup of the mysql and programs and store them on you PC...

If you haven't done any database changes, programs or any other

changes then the problem exists with your Host...possibly they have

changes the access/security rules...You can view and change the rules

if you need...should be at least 577 rule ring...

Let us know how it goes...
