Easy Populate issue

Recommended Posts

I've just finished installing extra fields, seperate price, and quantity price breaks, along with Easy Populate 3.0 all seemed to go well, however when I go to click on any of the links at the bottom of the Easypopulate.php page, nothing happens, no errors, just a status bar, then comes back to the easypopulate page.

I've tried all of the links at the bottom for export feature:

Export and download catalog's and Froogle's file:

Download .txt file with TAB delimited to edit ( Complete )

Download .txt file with TAB delimited to edit ( Model / Price / Quantity )

Download .txt file with TAB delimited to edit ( Model / Category )

Download .txt file with TAB delimited to edit ( Products extra fields )

Download .txt file with TAB delimited to edit ( Froogle )

Creation catalog's and Froogle's file in the directory EP_TEMP_DIR :

Creation file .txt file with TAB delimited ( Complete )

Creation file .txt file with TAB delimited ( Model / Price / Quantity )

Creation file .txt file with TAB delimited ( Model / Category )

Creation file .txt file with TAB delimited ( Products extra fields )

Creation file .txt file with TAB delimited ( Froogle )

All seem to do the same thing, almost like a page refresh, but no option to download the file, I went and checked the temp folder which is set for 777, but no files in there either.

Any ideas? Thanks a bunch for any assistance you might be able to provide.

Usually when EP just sits there and refreshes or does nothing, it's a register globals issue. Try this:

Add this at the top of easypopulate.php, after the $tempdir declarations:

// fix by jb 20040815 set the strings to http post/request, since they don't seem to work on the new server, with register globals=off...

$dltype=$_REQUEST['dltype'];

$download=$_REQUEST['download'];

global $HTTP_POST_FILES;

foreach( $HTTP_POST_FILES as $varname => $fileinfo ){

$GLOBALS[$varname] = $fileinfo["tmp_name"];

$GLOBALS[$varname.'_name'] = $fileinfo["name"];

}

// end fix jb
