Negatove prices for trade in, how would i go about storing customers credit?

As you can see from my site... http://www.majesticgames.co.uk, i'm looking for a way in which when sum1 trades in a product (on my site as a negative price), their balance is stored with their account. i.e i buy a product for ?39.97, but trade in ?44 worth of stuff, i want the ?4.03 stored as credit with my login to use at a later date. Also, i need a method of skipping the payment if the balance to pay is below 0. My site currently directs you to paypal, even if the balance is 0 or below. Fingers crossed, sum1 will be able to help out. I've tried using account balance V3, but this doesnt store credit from negatively priced goods, and it's buggy as hell

I am sure you would want the product delivered to you before issuing credit :-)

This contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,282 would probably do what you want. We installed in several installations, and works well. Be advised it is not an amatuer contribution. It does have a level of difficulty to work the way you want, and if you have other major mods installed, can become quite challenging.

you might have to go back to ccgv 5.15a2 for the instructions. Authors may or may not offer help in the contributions forums.
