i am trying to install oscommerce on my home server. I am using windows 2003, MySQL 5.0, PHP 5.1.4. I am using IIS v 6.0 as webserver.

i have set mySql to use the 'old password' and register globals in php.ini is ON.

I have given full control to the installation folder to the IIS process and guest internet user account (IUSR_<MACHINENAME>)

I have followed al the instructions given in the thread: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=134317

the installtion hangs at step 2. after i specify the database name, password etc and hit the continue button, only the header page loads and nothing happen. the worst part is that i am not getting error messages at all.

I checked php.ini files and errors should show.

any tips pls

The most common cause for installation getting stuck in step 2

is that most recent PHP installations have register_long_arrays = OFF

This needs to be turned to ON in the php.ini file (you will need to

stop and restart your server to get this change to take effect.)

i checked but they where on. i think there is something wrong with my php installation. it does not have the mysql extensions installed by default. they where installed by default in previous versions but not anymore... the reason is available on the php.net site.

so i will try to fix that first and see what happens.

Thanks for now
