adding text to left nav

I am in there but can't figure out how to write text, do I use an echo or something? it is all php, I see no html to modify

Schooltosuccess,

column_left.php contain the incudes and require are pulling in modules

that can show up in the left side...I you want something additionally to

show up there you can code a module with tables html and php...and

create either an includes or required for that module...just make a copy

of one of the module and strip out code that you don't want in that module and add your own...

The modules refered to by roman are called boxes and they are in catalog/includes/boxes

 

Follow roman's advice it should work for you.

 

You will have to make a reference in the column_left.php to the new box like:

 

require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'newbox.php');
