Missing Images from product listing/description..., General advice on...

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am making a fundraising portal using OS Commerce and the test image i have added to the listing (found here):

http://www.onlineaid.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=30

does not show. I have also disable the buy now option so as to allow buyers to purchase from the relevant merchant. This "Buy Now" image is also missing and i am calling it from images/buynow.gif using img src= tag in listing.

I dont understand why these arent showing up. My relevant permissions are set to 777. The default ws_images is set correctly. Images in config is set to "1" and it still is a problem?!

I have searched Hi and Lo for a fix but to no avail.

Help please!

We are planning to launch soon and this is a big fat pain in the arse!

Thanks...

I replaced onlineaid with yoursite on purpose ... but the idea is the same.

If you're looking for the original lethal_weapon.gif that was installed as part of the demo/default store,

it's here: http://www.yoursite.co.uk/images/dvd/lethal_weapon.gif

You're calling it from http://www.yoursite.co.uk/images/lethal_weapon.gif

On your 'buy now' button,

The image is being called from http://www.yoursite.co.uk/images/buynow.gif/

When I point my browser there (to just view only the image), I get page not found.

When I point it to http://www.yoursite.co.uk/images/buynow.gif I do see your button. (without the slash at the end)

Try taking the slash off the end of your buynow.gif/

Many Thanks for the input!

This has been driving me mad for days now! Got there in the end though hey...

More than happy to list your site in return for the favour...
