osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Is Oscommerce good for big sites too?

Recommended Posts

Hello. I was wondering if a company is to be taken seriously, will using oscommerce (a free program) undermine the image of the company?

If "powered by osc" is removed from the bottom of the websites's page, will people still be able to recognize that you are using oscommerce?

Would you agree that all big companies, like Target, Walmart, etc, all have their own shopping cart designed for them?

Thanks so much in advance for your replies!

Absolutely not - OSC is one of the best e-commerce applications out there.

Depends on how good the design is and how well that deisgn is applied to OSC. There are many OSC stores out there that have been so well 'reskinned' it's difficult to tell at first glance that it's an oSC store.

Usually yes. These companies are so large and have so many stores and stock they need bespoke, custom e-commerce applications building for them (and have the money to pay for such a thing)
