I just upgraded my server to ssl, when I installed the script I told it just regular http:// now that I have ssl, what do I have to configure in the admin area to let it know to use https:// when transfering sensative info?

Thanks,

Eric

I opened configure.php and set ssl to true, but still when I hit the page where I enter cc info, it still is in http://

Did you change the configure.php on both files? (catalog/admin/includes/configure.php & catalog/includes/configure.php)

And did you also define the https server?

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://yourdomain.com'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

I got it, the problem was the config file was chmodded to 444 so when I uploaded new file, it didn't overite, had to set to 644 to overwrite and then rechmod to 444

also,

In the admin config the only line that pertains to ssl is

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module

but I read I don't want my catalog in ssl

I am having the same problem. Tried edited the configure.php files as shown in this thread to no avail. What do you mean by "chmodded to 444" etc.?

Anyone know of someone who I can hire to fix this for me? I purchased the ssl 2 months ago and everything I have tried either does not work or crashs the site! frustration!
