OsCommerce and iis

Hi,

 

I am totally new to OSCommerce but started loving it as soon as I saw it. I downloaded the installation package and did what the documentation told me to. I am using php5.2 and iis 5.1 to run this. I am using mysql on my local machine. When I go to the database import part i provide all the database connection values like host: localhost username, pwd etc. and when I click on continue, it goes to the next page where it shows the oscommerce logo, New installation and database import and freezes without any error messages or anything.

 

What would I have to do with this ? how do I get this fixed ?

Hi Anand, i also tried running osCommerce on iis4.0 and have since given up trying to get it to work. Now i do everything through my live web server. If you want to run osC on your localhost, then you should download XAMPP fro apache friend(don't know url-google it). That is what everyone told me when i asked around. Otherwise keep trying maybe it works on iis5.1, pm me if it does, please. It would be very interesting to know.
