osCommerce Configuration error/chmod

Ok, first of all, I'm new. My name is Paulo, and I'm trying get my business online, and found that this program is the best for what I need. While installing I came across and error, and for lack of a good description I just took a screen capture of my error.

 

 

That's what I get. And to speed the process up; if the answer to my problem is setting the chmod whats-it-called to 707, then can anyone explain to me how to do so?
