Failed opening required 'includes/functions/general.php'

I just copied the files as per documentation and when I enter at http://server/shop/catalog/install/ the following output is dsplayed:

 

Warning: main(includes/functions/general.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /srv/www/htdocs/shop/catalog/install/includes/application.php on line 22

 

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/functions/general.php' (include_path='/usr/share/php') in /srv/www/htdocs/shop/catalog/install/includes/application.php on line 22

 

Any help / suggestion will be highly appreciated.
