chooch Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 That's a very good contribution. It should allow you to design unhindered while to front end shows 'temporarily closed' Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
lrjbart Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 How do I take a Store offline temporarily (the safest method). But still enable me to design it ?? I have built an index.html for a client I put the file in the root directory e.g. www.wannashop.co.uk/index.html they use this as there welcome page. I link this page to there index.php in the catalog directory e.g. www.wannashop.co.uk/catalog/index.php. If I need to fix something on there site I just change the index.html file with another index.html file that does not have any links just a sign saying under construction. To see there front page go to http://www.wannashop.co.uk/
