I know its going to be a lot of work but if anyone could post back or get on a messanging service with me or anything of that nature even if its for a few minutes to give me some help and guidance id greatly appreciate it.

This is what I'm trying to make into an osCommerce template. http://www.element-119.com/stuff/osC.jpg . Thanks a lot guys. You guys are great!

Thoughts:

- you'll need to eliminate the right column (i.e. have to edit this out of most of the .php files in the catalog directory)

- custom includes/footer.php, including a manufacturer's box (decide which pages it should show up on - - some pages won't make sense, like checkout)

- custom categories box in L column

- CSS changes

- custom header.php

- custom buttons (i.e add to cart, buy now, etc)

- custom includes/modules/product_listing.php

- will you have sub-categories? If so, how will they be displayed?

These are non-trivial changes that will require PHP code modification, not just changing settings in the osCommerce admin.

Also, you will not e able to use a .psd file. It will have to be saved as a .jpeg, .gif, or .png file(s) first.

It will be very time consuming and of-course you can't get the exact thing but after alot of perserving something very similar.

From closely looking at the image, it seems that a template may have been used for inspiration because the top right header info and no column right along with teh cc logo at the footer is very similar to what many templates have. If that is the case then you worked around te images borders and added your own.

If a template wasn't used for inspiartion and this is from scratch then firstly I have to say, well done!

But not only do you need to make the cosmetic changes to your site using photoshop but you will also need to manually modify your store to get the header in the same position. It's going to be tough, good luck - I hope you make it.

Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back!

Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you?

There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere.
