jlknauff Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Can a few of you go through my cart (it's in test mode) and run through the checkout process and see if you run into any problems? http://www.wildfiremarketinggroup.com/cart/
Guest Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 There is a problem with an image located on this page: http://www.wildfiremarketinggroup.com/cart.../products_id/28 This results in your product page being extra large and users have to scroll to the right. Also, the lack of a header or logo image at the top may make users a little uneasy about doing business on your shop. I hope that helps. Edit: Actually, a lot of your images are failing to appear.
chooch Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 There is a problem with an image located on this page: That is a result of having larger images in the box: Customers who bought this product also purchased If the images were uniformed to one size the page wouldn't be out of sync. The sizes need to be set. As far as the site goes it is good. The stylesheet is used well and the buttons suit the site but you should revert to the basic 'show cart' when an item is added to cart, instead it goes back to the same product info page. The buttons are absolutely brilliant but as good as they are, they have an extra few pixels of white background that looks fine on white background but your infobox background actually shows them because they are different colour. All in all it's coming along nicely. Good Luck Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH

Where does that come up? FYI - yes - product images are not sized properly yet. My main concern at this point is that the cart operates properly.
jlknauff Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 Store is running live now...cosmetic changes can come later.

My main concern at this point is that the cart operates properly. I understand, but I am only resoonding to your request for feedback. However, it is an observation and you can agree or disagree but I think if you follow this link HERE you can see the 'add to cart' button looks good with the 3-d effect because it is on a white background. But, on the same page you can see the 'search' and 'email' buttons in the column left infoboxes and because their background isn't white there is an extra white border around the 3-d border that shows up in the infoboxes. And I actually like your site and layout, it's a compliment. Good luck. Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. I looked in both IE7 & FF 1.5. In FF, I did however, notice a large white rectangle at the bottom, below the footer. I'm going to dig into finding what causes that unless it's a common problem and someone can tell me what it is off the top of their head???
