Removing session ids (osCsid) from urls

Hello,

 

I know this can be done, as I remember seeing it, but cannot find instructions. Could someone please tell me how to set OScommerce so it doesn't use session ids in the urls? (I think it can be set to use session cookies instead.)

If your website has no ssl at all, or if it has a full ssl cert then you can go to your osC admin panel --> Configuration --> Sessions and turn Force Cookie Use on. You can't do this if you use shared ssl on your site.

I'd recommend against using the SID Killer contribution. As the original author himself says "It doesn't work, don't use it. I wish they'd remove it".

That did the trick, as I have my own SSL on a static IP. :) Thank you much!
