Guest Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 How do I chage the "This is a default setup of the osCommerce project, products shown are for demonstrational purposes..." to my preference - in my case thr categories icons linked to their content (products and subcategories)
chooch Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 If it is text then it is normally the corresponding language file. So text on catalog/index.php = language file on catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
Guest Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 It is not text. I like to put pictures of the differents categories, and let the custumer click on them in order to go to the relevant page. like in this example: http://www.oscommerce.com/shops/goto,19227
