You can't seem to make up your mind whether your site is installed in the root or in a folder called 'catalog' so these settings are for an install in a folder called catalog:

includes/configure.php

-------------------------

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com');

define('HTTPS_SERVER', '');

define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.mysite.com');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');

define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/'catalog);

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '');

define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '');

admin/includes/configure.php

---------------------------------

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com'); // no capital letters

define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', '');

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false');

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT','/home/mers/public_html');

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/catalog/admin/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/mers/public_html/catalog/admin/');

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/mers/public_html/catalog/');

i don't know - i was aware of one host that wouldn't allow a directory called admin to be placed into the public_html folder. and all i got was a page not found error. i just renamed the folder and references to adminfolder, and that worked.

check with your host?

There is a missing apostrophy here (corrected below), but that shouldn't stop admin from loading:

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG','');

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/mers/public_html/admin/includes/configure.php on line 46
