Multiple Categories on Home Page

I have a client that wishes to have multiple category boxes on the home page.

 

I took a look at and installed 'More Category Boxes' (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3327) from the contributions but that does not quite fit what we are looking for.

 

Ideally the catalog will be setup with categories as follows

 

- Necklaces

- Gemstones & Sterling Silver

- Gemstones and 14K Gold-Filled

- Gemstones and 14K Gold

- See all necklaces

- Earrings

- Gemstones & Sterling Silver

- Gemstones and 14K Gold-Filled

- Gemstones and 14K Gold

- See all earrings

- Bracelets

- Gemstones & Sterling Silver

- Gemstones and 14K Gold-Filled

- Gemstones and 14K Gold

- See all bracelets

 

What I need is a More Categories Type of box builder, that will build multipe boxes for each 'Top Level' Category.

If anyone has doen this or knows of a contribution that does this please point it might way.

the contribution seems to do exactly what you need. But you will also need to modify the code and simply display the first 4 categories. So best approach will be to limit the sql query results to 4 and then add an extra link at the end of each box the contribution generates to go to the category itself (the seel all....line)
